Water Conservation
Bhoomicare Foundation is implementing a water conservation project focused on protecting and managing water resources to ensure a sustainable supply for both humans and wildlife through rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge, restoration of lakes and ponds, construction of check dams, and installation of water facilities in forest and buffer zones, thereby improving access to safe drinking water, supporting agriculture and livelihoods, ensuring reliable water sources for wild animals, reducing human-wildlife conflict, and promoting long-term ecosystem health and environmental sustainability.
In forest and wildlife areas, water troughs, bore wells, and small water storage structures may be established to ensure year-round water availability for animals, especially during dry seasons. Regular maintenance and monitoring are carried out to ensure the effectiveness of these water sources.
