Bhoomicare Foundation - Water Conservation

Forest Conservation & Restoration

Bhoomicare Foundation is implementing a forest conservation and restoration project focused on safeguarding existing forests and rehabilitating degraded forest landscapes to enhance biodiversity, strengthen wildlife habitats, and improve overall environmental health through native tree plantation, prevention of deforestation, soil erosion control, natural regeneration, and active community participation, while continuously monitoring and promoting sustainable forest management to increase forest cover, reduce human-wildlife conflict, and ensure long-term ecological balance and sustainability for future generations.

The program will include site preparation, sapling plantation, installation of protective measures such as tree guards where required, and regular maintenance activities including watering, weeding, and replacement of dead saplings. Soil and water conservation measures such as contour trenches, check dams, and water harvesting structures will be developed to support plant growth and improve groundwater recharge.
